London Fund for Racialised Communities - Project Ended March 2023

The BME Health Forum is one of 10 charities acting as an intermediary partner for Comic Relief, in partnership with the National Emergencies Trust, Barclays and The Clothworkers' Foundation to distribute funds from the Global Majority Fund to help grass roots projects across the UK that provide vital services to diverse communities who have the greatest risk of Covid-19.
The BME Health Forum has awarded grants of between £4000 and £20,000 to 21 organisations across London.  Please see below a breakdown of how we have distributed the funds and the projects they will support.





Improved access to food and reduced isolation amongst older Black people in Croydon through a range of User Led Services


Autism Voice

A safe and supportive space for BAME adults with autism and parents/carers experiencing difficulties with their mental health


Central London Youth Development

Project for Asian women to engage with health professionals to improve their understanding of healthy lifestyle


Connect North Korea

Building resilience of marginalised North Korean refugees and asylum seekers to help them survive and withstand the COVID-19 pandemic



User-led project providing specialist SEND and Mental Health support to 25 deprived children with SEND and their families


French African Welfare Association

Emotional wellbeing and practical support to migrants


Future Focus

An Education and Skills Development programme to support young BAME peopled aged 8 to 16


Iranian Association

A culturally appropriate service to help Iranian and Farsi speaking people reduce their financial hardship, overcome isolation and improve emotional wellbeing
