Public Contributor opportunity to join research group around Multiple Long Term Health conditions – Apply by 02.03.26

NIHR logo.pngPlease see the below opportunity that was shared with us via Imperial PERC by Dr Thomas Beaney, a researcher working on the Imperial BRC MLTC theme and the PPIE lead for the theme. Please see below for a summary of the opportunity:

  • You will be a member of the Multiple Long-Term Conditions (MLTC) Cross-NIHR Collaboration (CNC) Methodologies Workstream, working alongside academic members carrying out research.

  • Two researchers co-lead the group, which includes setting meeting times and the main objectives.

  • You will be asked for your input in planning and delivering research activities at meetings and via email. You will contribute your perspective and lived experience as someone living with or caring for someone with multiple long-term conditions.

  • You do not need any research experience to take part, just lived experience of multiple long-term conditions (the presence of two or more chronic conditions (physical or mental) in an individual). Please see the attached documents for the recruitment advert and role description.

  • The role involves attending online meetings approximately once a month for 1 hour (with the possibility of additional meetings for specific work). You may also be asked to provide feedback in between meetings, for example, input to a grant application via email. This is anticipated to take around 1-2 hours per month. You will be reimbursed £27.50 per hour, in line with NIHR guidance.
