Community Access Scheme
The Community Access Scheme (CAS) provides pathways for local community organisations and their members to visit the museum and access ticketed exhibitions, Wonderlab and Power Up for free.
We partner with organisations that support individuals and families that experience barriers to access and who may feel excluded from STEM and cultural venues. We get to know them, their interests, goals and needs, and support them to feel welcome and get the most out of their visit to the museum.

Science Museum activities this December (2025):
The Science Museum want to update you on their activities over weekends in December and the holiday break:
- Sunday 14th December only: Celebrating 10 years since Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station. A day of free family space themed activities including coding workshops with AstroPi
- Friday 12th December only: Christmas late opening, the museum will be open to all until 9pm
- Family space show, taking place every weekend and during the school holidays until Jan 5th. The show is 20 minutes, we suggest booking ahead for large groups
- Future of Food exhibition, exploring how science is creating more sustainable ways of growing, making, cooking and eating food. Entry is free, we suggest booking ahead for large groups
- Community Access Scheme offering free access to Wonderlab and Power Up for organisations working with local communities. For the festive season, every weekend in December and throughout the school holidays, one of the shows available to see only in Wonderlab will be the science of Christmas celebrations, 'Festive Physics'
