Multilingual Emotional Wellbeing Service (Community Living Well)

Community Living Well is a programme funded by NHS West London CCG for people aged 16 and over who need support with their mental health. It is for people registered with a GP in Kensington & Chelsea or the Queens Park or Paddington areas of Westminster.

Kensington & Chelsea Social Council are working with a number of voluntary and community sector organisations delivering a variety of projects to support people's emotional health and wellbeing as part of the Community Living Well programme.

BME Health Forum Multilingual Emotional Wellbeing service (MEWS):

The BME Health Forum has subcontracted 5 local organisations to deliver one to one emotional support and practical help to people who are going through a difficult time. The support is offered by members of the community who have had training from the BME Health Forum in basic counselling and advocacy skills and can support people in their own language and make appropriate referrals where necessary.

The 4 organisations delivering the BME Health Forum emotional wellbeing service are:

  • French African Welfare Association
  • Iranian Association
  • Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women's Centre
  • Midaye Somali Development Network
