Information on Test and Trace for BME communities
The BME Health Forum has been funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster City Council to run a project providing information to BME communities about the NHS Test and Trace service. We are working with 11 partners (Abbey Community Centre, Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre, Central London Youth Development, Ethiopian Women’s Empowerment Group, French African Welfare Association, Iranian Association, Marylebone Bangladesh Society, Midaye Somali Development Network, Middle Eastern Women and Society, Mosaic Community Trust, Queens Park Bangladesh Association) to reach 950 households where people are not fluent English speakers and may find it difficult to access information about the NHS Test and Trace service. Workers from these organisations will contact the households and explain in their mother tongue about how to order a test if you have symptoms, why you should self-isolate and the support available if you do and why it is important to pass on information about your contacts to the NHS Test and Trace service if you test positive.
