Maternity Services Mapping Project
The NHS NWL Health Equity team are supporting the development of a Black Maternity Advocacy service model that would sit in the heart of the voluntary and community sector to support more equitable outcomes for black women going through maternity care.
In order to support the proposal of a pilot service the NHS and associated task group who have been developing the model asked the BME Health Forum to support them in a maternity service mapping exercise to better understand what support is currently available, what works well, and where there may be gaps that could be supported by a Black Maternity advocacy service.
