Community Wellbeing Project (2025 - 2027)
The BME Health Forum is working in partnership with four Global Majority (GM) organisations to deliver the project including the following:
- Make it happen parents CIC
- Marylebone Bangladesh Society
- Sudanese Supplementary School
- SW1C CIC
The project is aiming to deliver the following activities:
Training - Staff and volunteers will receive training to improve their knowledge and understanding of mental health.
Workshops - The partnership will deliver 60 workshops on mental health to parents and young people
Mental Health ambassadors - The partnership will support 12 people (primarily young people) to become mental health ambassadors.
1:1 emotional support - The partnership will offer 4 sessions of 1:1 support to 60 clients including young people aged 16-21 and/or parents to provide them with emotional support and practical help.
This service was funded by the NHS Community Solutions grant and will run during June 2025 to May 2027.
