About the Role
The Brief Intervention ISVA is a specialist role within WGN’s Criminal Justice System Team, providing rapid, short-term advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence who are navigating, or considering, the criminal justice system. Working across the London Survivors Gateway partnership, you will deliver trauma-informed, survivor-centred support at a critical point in a survivor’s journey while helping to shape and develop this innovative pilot service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver short-term ISVA support, advocacy and information to survivors of sexual violence.
  • Support survivors to understand their rights, reporting options and the criminal justice process.
  • Undertake risk and needs assessments, safety planning and tailored support planning.
  • Advocate with police, criminal justice agencies and partner organisations.
  • Build effective partnerships across the London Survivors Gateway network.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of this pilot service.

About the Role
The Advice Hub & Sexual Violence Helpline Practitioner is a key frontline role within WGN’s Intake Service, providing trauma-informed, survivor-led support to women and girls affected by Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Through WGN’s Advice Hub, Sexual Violence Helpline and Emotional Support & Resiliency programme, you will help survivors access information, advocacy, emotional support and safety planning, while contributing to the development of accessible, high-quality services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, advocacy, emotional support and safety planning via telephone and webchat.
  • Undertake risk assessments and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Deliver emotional support sessions to survivors of sexual violence.
  • Provide specialist guidance to professionals supporting survivors.
  • Support survivors to understand their rights, options and available services.
  • Contribute to service delivery, partnership working and continuous improvement.
