Volunteer at the Listening Place
The Listening Place is an award winning charity supporting those who feel suicidal. It's simple - a welcoming place to go; a person who cares; an opportunity to be heard.
We lose more than 5000 people to suicide each year, and The Listening Place wants to change that. Our service is specifically tailored to meet the needs of people who feel suicidal - free, ongoing, face-to-face listening support and 100% confidential.
We rely on our wonderful Listening Volunteers to provide this vital service. If you are warm, empathetic and resilient, if you want to help others, if you can listen without judgment, and if you have the time to commit to a regular, fortnightly 4-hour shift at our site in Hammersmith - we would love to hear from you. You can find our application form here.
We are open seven days a week, 9am-9pm. No experience or qualifications are necessary and we will provide all the necessary training - please, get in touch.
