INVITE: Anti-Slavery Day 2025 Event: Trapped, Exploited Cuckooed (13.10.25)
We are pleased to invite you to an event hosted by Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea councils to mark Anti-Slavery Day 2025: ‘Trapped, Exploited, Cuckooed’, exploring the intersections between cuckooing and exploitation.
This event will shine a light on the hidden and growing issue of cuckooing, where vulnerable people are exploited in their homes. Join us to explore how we can identify and respond to cuckooing from all angles, by considering the experiences of the cuckooed person, the perpetrators, and the children exploited in cuckooed properties.
Date: Monday 13th October 2025
Location: Palace theatre, 113 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1D 5AY
Time: 09.30 – 11.30, (arrival from 09.15 for a prompt 09.30 start)
This event is aimed at professionals working in housing, maintenance, law enforcement, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, or other roles supporting communities affected by cuckooing. It is intended for those working in or with residents of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, and the City of Westminster.
