As we know, individuals are being groomed and radicalised on and offline. It will be your opportunity to hear from someone who was involved with a variety of Extreme Right Wing (ERW) groups, giving an in-depth view of what the ERW is, how it recruits, operates and what its ultimate goals are and the different types of organisations/ideologies – Populist, Nationalist, hard-core National Socialist and Accelerationist. They will highlight how the ERW are specifically targeting the autistic community.
Exit Hate will educate people about the dangers, mechanisms, organisations, etc. which outline the ERW threat to community cohesion and how to challenge this in a non-confrontational way, via listening, conversations, and signposting people to professional support who can then challenge the extremist narrative.
Upskilling training attendees will learn – how to listen, and have difficult conversations which will allow people to discuss their worries, and thus reduce the appeal of the far-right, who act as the only ones who care and via listening, recruit. Countering this, this training will reduce the need for attendees trained in what signs to look out for, how to talk to someone with concerns, and what to do about it i.e., open doors to alternatives to extremism and support from professionals.
