Celebrating Success: BME Healthy Lifestyle Programme

In the first 12 weeks of the CPHP, the BME Healthy Lifestyle Programme supported women in making lasting lifestyle changes while celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the community. Key highlights included coffee mornings where participants shared healthier versions of traditional meals, helping to dispel myths about healthy eating, alongside group discussions on food habits and portion control. Ahead of Ramadan, a special session brought together guests who experienced the strong sense of community and mutual support among the women.
During Ramadan, the programme’s daytime walking series brought together women from diverse backgrounds to explore local routes across North West London while fasting. The programme has not only encouraged healthier habits but also fostered meaningful connections across cultures. The next women’s programme launches in September.
Residents interested in joining or referring others are encouraged to contact the Elderly Wellbeing Project Manager, Intlak Al Saiegh intlak@mchc.org.uk to sign up early.
