Free Breast Cancer Training Workshop at the Stowe Centre (27.01.26)

Breast_Cancer_Now_logo.pngBreast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK. Around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed each year. That’s one woman every 10 minutes and one man every day. To help address this, we are delivering a FREE Train the Trainer (TtT) breast health promotion workshop for community-based health and care professionals, health promotion workers, and volunteers working to promote health and wellbeing in Westminster.

The training will enable participants to promote:

  • Greater breast awareness
  • Confidence to recognise, check, and report new or unusual changes to GPs
  • Attendance at routine NHS breast screening appointments when invited

What participants will receive:

  • A comprehensive course workbook
  • Access to additional resources and a dedicated online learning hub
  • Ongoing support following the training
  • Eligibility to apply for a community engagement grant of up to £1,500
  • A Breast Cancer Now certificate on completion

In-person workshop details:

  • Date: Tuesday 27 January
  • Time: 10.00am – 3.00pm
  • Venue: Stowe Centre
  • Lunch and refreshments provided
