Freemasons' Charity - Grants for charities working with children and young people.

Small grants £1,000 to £5,000 a year, large grants usually £10,000 to £60,000, for charities working with children and young people.

The Freemasons' Charity, Grants to Charities. Unrestricted small grants run for up to three years; large grants run over one to three years for specific projects. Three priority areas: early years (ages 0 to 5) with a focus on poverty and neglect, children affected by domestic abuse, and children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Who can apply: charities registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales or the registries of Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man, with at least one year of examined or audited accounts published and beneficiaries in England, Wales, Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man. Small grants are for charities with annual income of £25,000 to £500,000; large grants for income of £500,000 to £5 million. Social enterprises, Community Interest Companies and exempt charities are explicitly not eligible.

New builds, large capital projects and capital repairs are not funded, and the grant requested must not exceed 20 per cent of the charity's average annual income over the past two years.

Deadline: none. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, starting with a short online expression of interest.
