Guided Walk: Charlie Chaplin - A Kennington Kid (30th June)
Waterloo Community Counselling invite you to their upcoming activity on offer in Waterloo to refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants. On the 30th June, WCC will be running the third of its 6 guided walks around the Waterloo and Southbank area, in partnership with Lambeth Tour Guides Association.

The walk will be led by David, a fantastic and friendly Lambeth Tour Guide, and is all about the famous actor Charlie Chaplin who was raised in Kennington, near to Waterloo. See picture of Charlie Chaplin!From a life of poverty and tragedy on the Victorian streets of Lambeth Charlie Chaplin rose to stardom at the birth of Hollywood. Using the universal language of laughter Chaplin's comedy films attracted millions of fans across the entire world, making him the first global cinema star of the silent era. This 90 minute guided walk by writer and accredited Lambeth Tour Guide, David Turnbull, looks at Chaplin's Kennington childhood and the people, characters, events and places that inspired his iconic 'Little Tramp' character.
Lunch and travel expenses are covered.
