HPV Resources and information
Please see the following usefuk resources and information about the HPV vaccine:
School age HPV vaccinations in NWL
The NWL schools provider Vaccination UK will try and vaccinate child (12-18) through the schools vaccination programme for every age group so if they didn’t received it in Yr 8 they can still have it in Y9, Y10 etc (it’s referred to as an evergreen offer), but they will also advertise community clinics on their website by borough. This means school age children can book an appointment in an alternative location to the school if they missed the vaccine day, they are home schooled etc.
The page hasn’t yet been updated for HPV but will be shortly so please ask people to look out for this https://www.schoolvaccination.uk/catch-up-clinics NWL/by borough
- I have created 2 QR codes which are to access the pre and post event questionnaires for attendees to access on their phones as part of your sessions – they are anonymous if you want to add to a poster or put on screen. (the links are in the slide pack)
I wanted to highlight again some of the resources from the slide pack – as I read from some of the feedback people are worrying about side effects and benefits etc.
- Online video – this is only in English but it’s a good overview of HPV and the vaccine HPV/Vaccination video –
- At the following link is one of the presentations from the Educate resource pack – I have pdf this for size but the full ppt is within the Educate resource (link on the slides)
