Learning Disability Network London launches Pathway to Work Programme
LDN London (Learning Disability Network London) is an award-winning charity with 60 years’ experience supporting people with learning disabilities in London to stay healthy, be safe and live well. It has recently launched its Pathway to Work programme to Westminster residents but will be expanding to our other boroughs (Camden, Islington, Kensington) in the future.
The aim of the programme is to find people within our communities who are interested in a career in support work and the healthcare sector but have not had the resources or experience.
At the end of the programme participants should:
- Be more confident about working with people with learning disabilities and autism
- Gain basic training and certificates
- Have the basic skills needed to be a support worker
- Be able to start or apply for paid work as a support worker at LDN London
