Opportunity to join DHSC MedTech Patient Engagement Forum

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has introduced a quarterly MedTech Patient Engagement Forum, to support the DHSC’s Medical Technologies Directorate strategic activity and provide regular progress updates on activity in this area.  The role of the Forum is to:

• Bring together patient-level representation.
• Enable DHSC to communicate the MedTech strategy implementation progress to patient stakeholders.
• Enable DHSC to provide more detailed updates on specific MedTech strategic initiatives to ascertain if/when patient involvement is appropriate.
• Ensure patient stakeholders have the opportunity to provide challenge to the strategy implementation, to ensure appropriate patient involvement in strategy initiatives.

Patient experience and outcomes should be at the centre of health policy and we would be delighted to welcome any patient groups who wish to join, to our future Forum meetings.
