Public Health Loneliness Training – Engagement Session (21.08.25)
Over the past 6 months, the Public Health team have been working on a loneliness action plan to combat loneliness and social isolation across Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.
As part of this action plan, we are commissioning a series of training sessions. These sessions are aimed at frontline staff across sectors working with residents. The aim of these training sessions will be to raise awareness of loneliness and social isolation across the boroughs and equip attendees with tools to enable them to recognise people who are lonely or at risk of loneliness, and signpost them to relevant services.
Before the training sessions start, we are holding an engagement session with anyone who is likely to have contact with residents who are lonely or at risk of severe loneliness to help the training provider shape the training.
We would be very grateful if you could attend the session on 21 August between 2 and 4pm at Bay 20 Community Centre (71 Marks Rd, W10 6JG), where we would ask for your thoughts on how best to tailor these sessions, so they are useful and relevant for both frontline staff in your organisation and residents.
