SAB Webinar: When people go missing? - Herbert Protocol Awareness (24.03.26)

Please find below information on an upcoming BSAB webinar which is being hosted in Bromley which we would like to extend to London Safeguarding Adults Board Colleagues.

BSAB Webinar: When people go missing? - Herbert Protocol Awareness - Tuesday 24 March, 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Join this informative session exploring how the Herbert Protocol can help keep people living with dementia safe. This webinar will look at London's commitment to becoming a dementia-safe city, with a spotlight on the local picture in Bromley and the wider regional context.

This session will explore real-world scenarios faced by carers, lessons from the Bromley SAR Chelsea review - including the need for multi-agency awareness of the Herbert Protocol - and how compassionate, proactive use of the protocol can prevent harm.

This session will also introduce MedicAlert and its role in supporting people at risk of going missing - and assisting police during missing person investigations - alongside an overview of the Missing with Dementia Framework. Attendees will leave with practical resources for practitioners, carers, families, and residents to help strengthen their response when someone goes missing.
