SAEB Multiagency Fire Safety Framework - updated guidance (June 2025)
Following the launch of the SAEB Multiagency Fire Safety Framework in 2024, updated guidance has been published which includes:
- New content on learning from SARs and the SAR national analysis, with an appendix of other national SARs related to fire safety.
- An updated telecare section with more clarify on the equipment that can be provided by LFB and ASC.
- Updated content on fire safety for care homes, supported accommodation and extra-care housing.
- New content on the interface with Self-Neglect and Hoarding.
- Revised content on staff support, with new top 10 practice tips and additional resources.
- A new smoking risk assessment template and mental capacity / bets interests template specifically for smoking risks are included in the Appendices. The fire risk assessment at Appendix 1 has been amended in the light of these two new templates.
