KCSC.pngStanding United: KCSC Calls for Unity Amid Rising Division

In a time where division and hostility are becoming more visible across society, Kensington and Chelsea Social Council (KCSC) is reaffirming its commitment to unity, solidarity, and progressive action.

We believe that building connection and togetherness is the most effective antidote to the rhetoric of division and hate. We are particularly concerned about the impact of rising anti-migration protests, which has the potential to make residents feel unsafe.

It is important to listen and seek to understand the voices of those who feel unheard and therefore attend public protests.  However, we need to do so collectively and in a way that all communities feel safe, supported, and represented.”

KCSC has called on the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to stand together and act against racism and extremist activity. We pledge to work closely with RBKC to protect residents and ensure that Kensington and Chelsea remains a safe and inclusive borough for all.

As part of this commitment, KCSC will be hosting an open discussion on the issue at its upcoming Health and Wellbeing Forum, coinciding with the celebration of Black History Month.

Community members are encouraged to join the conversation and register to attend.
