Please see below the new selection of Suicide and Self-Harm training courses offered by EveryLifeMatters with Public Health, now available online. These courses are designed for anyone interested in learning more or those in a supporting role.

This is an opportunity to  build on your knowledge, or have a refresher of what you have already learned. All training is fully funded so free to attend, the online training is delivered via zoom but if you or your organisation or group are interested in face to face inhouse training then please do contact us at training@every-life-matters.org.uk

Suicide Awareness Bitesize Training - 1 hour

The training provides a brief overview of why and how we need to be talking about suicide. It’s suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about the myths and facts surrounding suicide, understand when someone might be at risk, how to talk directly and comfortably about suicide, and what we can all do to offer practical support.

Suicide Alertness Training - 3.5 hour 

This interactive training session is aimed at anyone, particularly those in a helping role who want to understand more about the context of suicide, identify when someone may be at risk, how to ask directly about suicide, and what we can do to support someone and guide them to the help they need.

Safety Planning Training - 2.5 hours

This 2.5 hour online session gives you the skills and tools to support an individual to develop their own safety plan. It is suitable for anyone in a support role who has already taken one of our suicide awareness or alertness courses (or similar), and wants to gain further skills in suicide intervention.

Self- Harm Alertness - Half Day 

New to the training program is our Self-Harm Alertness training. This half day online session is suitable for school staff, health and social care practitioners, and anyone in the community who wants to know more about self-harm, and how they can support someone who is self-harming.
