World Suicide Prevention Day - Zero Suicide Alliance online events
The Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) is hosting two linked online sessions on Thursday 10 September.
- 10am - 11.30am - webinar: Building a supportive narrative around suicide
- 1pm - 2.30pm - virtual training: Suicide awareness and supportive conversations
Across these sessions, you will explore how the way we talk about suicide shapes understanding, reduces stigma, and encourages people to seek help and build practical confidence in having supportive conversations.
Both sessions will include a live Q&A, giving you space to ask questions, explore real‑world challenges, and build confidence in supportive communication. You’re welcome to join one or both.
We have been hearing about how the training is translating into real action and impact for those who have participated.
In a recent survey, it was reported increased confidence in initiating supportive conversations and guiding vulnerable people towards professional help.
Out of more than 1,000 responses, 98% rated the training four or five out of five. Furthermore, nearly everyone (99%) stated they would recommend the session to a colleague or friend.
