Training opportunities - Spaces available next week!

1. Suicide Prevention and Self-Harm Training

Please see the new selection of Suicide and Self-Harm training courses offered by EveryLifeMatters with Public Health, now available online. These courses are designed for anyone interested in learning more or those in a supporting role.

This is an opportunity to build on your knowledge, or have a refresher of what you have already learned. All training is fully funded so free to attend, the online training is delivered via zoom but if you or your organisation or group are interested in face to face inhouse training then please do contact us at training@every-life-matters.org.uk

  1. Suicide Awareness Bitesize (1 hour - online) Tues 11 November (12-1pm)

  2. Suicide Awareness Safety Planning (2.5 hours - online) Wes 26 Nov (09:30-12:00)

2. Diabetes Prevention Training (In person)

Learn how to prevent diabetes through healthy lifestyle choices at our in-person Diabetes Primary Prevention Training!

Date and time: Tuesday 11th November 2025 10:30-14:30 (light refreshment provided)

3. Trauma informed training

Trauma informed care creates safer environments by prioritising principles such as safety, trust, choice, and collaboration, enriching your support offer to improve health outcomes of those you support.

About this training:

The Changing Futures Programme, commissioned by Public Health, will deliver trauma-informed training, specifically developed for voluntary sector partners of the Healthy Communities Fund and Community Public Health Programme.

The training aims to strengthen knowledge and confidence across the sector. It will provide essential tools to:

  • understand trauma,
  • build trust, and
  • foster healing within the community.

You can now register for two different trauma-informed training sessions, designed to build knowledge, confidence, and trauma awareness across the Voluntary Sector.

Trauma-Informed Practice (In-person, Full-Day Training)

Date and time: Wed 12 November, 10:00am – 4:00pm

Location: The Abbey Centre

This in-depth session offers practical tools and strategies to create trauma-informed environments within your organisation. Participants will explore ways to enhance well-being, resilience, and trust in professional settings, learning how to embed trauma-informed principles into everyday practice.
