Westminster Climate Fund Round 2 Launched

_PIwAYQQHCHNaV2p7-dt.jpgThe second round of Westminster Climate Fund is now live. 

This a funding opportunity for community organisations, businesses, cultural organisations and public sector bodies to delivery environmental action and carbon reduction projects in the City of Westminster. The first round of the fund provided a total of £5.6 million to 55 varied projects throughout the borough, saving a projected 20,000 tonnes of carbon and cutting bills for organisations in all sectors.

The fund has 5 different categories to cater for different audiences, and different type of environmental projects. Our categories are as follows: 

·Greener Living: For local community environmental action projects up to £20K. 

·Community energy and retrofit: For community and VCS sector to deliver projects to reduce energy bills and increase energy independence locally.   

·City Decarbonisation: For cultural and business sector, including SME's to deliver decarbonisation projects on buildings to reduce energy bills and lower carbon emissions 

·Feasibility: To provide technical support and assistance to design carbon saving and community energy projects. 

·Clean Air: Our new category, designed to support community organisations, schools, and public healthcare bodies to improve air quality or reduce exposure to air pollution. This category looks to fund projects which benefit vulnerable groups through capital measures, strategic interventions or projects that raise awareness and behaviour change. 

The funding round opens the morning of Monday 16th March and will close on the 13th of March.

  • Greener Living category pre application meeting
