Workshop opportunity: Research project to improve treatment of skin infections (25.11.25)
We would like to share with you an opportunity for Community Partners and their networks to share your views on a research project aiming to improve the treatment and understanding of skin infections. Please find below more information about the project, who can apply, and how to express your interest:
Background of the research project
Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a common bacterium that can live harmlessly on us, in the nose or skin for example, but also causes skin and soft tissue infections, surgical-site infections (surgical wound infection), and when not controlled can lead to death.
Efforts to develop an effective S. aureus vaccine have so far been unsuccessful. This study aims to better understand how S. aureus causes infections, to help develop future vaccines and more effective treatments. You can find more information about the study in the expression of interest form below.
Before launching this study, the research team would like your feedback to shape the project so that it is acceptable, relevant, and beneficial for patients and communities.
What does the involvement activity require?
A 2-hour online discussion session via Zoom on Tuesday 25th November from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
You will be given an introduction explaining the research project followed by an opportunity to ask questions. You will be invited to provide feedback on the research project.
Who are we looking for?

Residing in England, and;

Will I receive remuneration?
