BRIGHTER FUTURES FUND: THANK YOU

We are delighted to announce 32 new grants awarded for the latest round of Brighter Futures Grant funding.

These grants will really make a difference: giving children and young people access to spaces where they can feel safe and welcomed, connect with friends, grow their confidence, learn new skills and have fun.

From sports and music, to youth clubs, storytelling, mentoring and wellbeing, these initiatives will inspire, empower, and connect children and young people.

Thank you Westminster City Council, our Growth Partner donors, and Westminster grantmakers who contributed to the pooled funding to enable this vital support for young people in Westminster.

WESTMINSTER CHAMPIONS EVENT

Our autumn 2025 Westminster Champions event brought together inspiring speakers to explore how sport can help young people set goals, build confidence and unlock opportunity. We were delighted to welcome new support from Pentland Group at this event with a generous contribution to our Brighter Futures Fund.

The panel inspired us all with their stories that highlight the importance of access, resilience and community support. These Westminster champions have had incredible successes on the global stage. They were also very open about the challenges they'd experienced along the way.

We heard from Paralympic medallist Oliver Lam-Watson and Westminster champions, Kimani Wilmot and Ashley Theophane, who were given vital opportunities through local youth clubs and sports facilities.

The panel explored sport as a pathway to wellbeing, employment and leadership, with insights from Lauren Daley and Anees Ikramullah on inclusive provision and the need for greater investment in Westminster.

Young Westminster Foundation is committed to expanding sporting opportunities for young people across Westminster and we need your help. Please contact Zahid, our Business Development Lead to find out more.

YOUTH ASSOCIATES CONSULTANCY

YWF's Youth Associates are hitting the ground running with new consultancy bookings - including a recent role supporting Transport for London with their plans.

In the coming months, they'll be influencing strategy, grants and placemaking work, collaborating with London Business School, and contributing youth insight within Westminster MPs' offices and the Mayor of London's office.

For our partners, the Youth Associates deliver fresh, local perspective and high-quality, facilitated consultancy. For young people, the programme opens doors to paid, meaningful experience, professional training, mentoring and access to powerful networks - helping them shape decisions that impact Westminster today and into the future.

Please get in touch if you would like to find out more and work with our Youth Associates.

Aziz Foundation Awards

Young Westminster Foundation was honoured to attend the Aziz Foundation Social Impact Awards, held at the British Library - an inspiring celebration of organisations and individuals making meaningful social impact cross communities.

On behalf of Young Westminster Foundation and the wider network of charities and partners we work with, we were delighted to receive the Community Partner Award, recognising our commitment to championing community growth.

Thank you to The Aziz Foundation for their ongoing support, enabling us to better serve children and young people in Westminster and help create brighter futures.
