K&C Mind HARP Group (Hoarding, Acquiring Recovery Planning)

The HARP Support Group is a new, monthly, facilitated self-help programme, for people who are motivated to develop strategies and actions to manage and modify compulsive hoarding behaviour.

Based on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Techniques (CBT) and Wellness Recovery Action Planning, the programme uses effective, practical techniques and skills, to help people identify their problem, get used to the idea of sorting, organising and/or gradually removing their unwanted possessions, as well as developing a network of support.

The HARP Group will also take self- referrals from people who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the attached information. The service will be taking referrals from September 2013.

The HARP Group is funded by RBK&C Adult Social Care
