Neighbourhood Doulas - Free Perinatal Programmes in June 2026

Both programmes are designed to complement NHS care and are open to all.
Programme 1: Birth Education & Advocacy Classes
We are delighted to be starting a new term of our Perinatal Hub — a fully-funded antenatal course open to all pregnant residents. These sessions are trauma-informed and inclusive, giving participants the knowledge and confidence to navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

The 5-Week Course Covers:
- Know Your Options – (Birth centre, labour ward, home birth, elective caesarean)
- Birth Should Not Be Fear Based – (Physiological birth and understanding induction)
- Know Your Rights – (Advocacy, consent, role play)
- Information & Decision Making – (Interventions, Information, decision making tools -(B.R.A.I.N.S)
- Confident Parenting & Postnatal Awareness – (Infant feeding, healing and recovery, newborn patterns & care, mental well-being etc.)

Programme 2: Online Healthy Lifestyles Perinatal Programme
Funded by Public Health England, this free 6-week online programme supports the physical and mental wellbeing of pregnant residents through practical tools, peer connection, and positive lifestyle habits.

Each session provides a safe, supportive space for participants to share experiences, build healthy habits, and set goals for a positive pregnancy — with peer support woven throughout.
