New Workwell programme -supporting people into employment
About the programme:
Given the recent Darzi report, (Sept. 2024), the ICS partners in North West London has an incredible opportunity to start making a 
difference to our communities right now with the WorkWell programme.
WorkWell is NHS ICB – NWL’s new “front door” enabling practices (Social Prescribers and GPs, etc.) to refer patients into various employment support initiatives as a health outcome. This £3.8mn investment is our early help and prevention offer, integrating our joint approach to health and employment support, working alongside existing programmes for local employers and residents registered with a GP in NHS-ICS boroughs. It is also available to your staff that live in North West London.
WorkWell provides a triage process, making it much easier for Primary Care to refer patients without having to remember which programme is most suitable. Shaw Trust, our provider, will triage and allocate patients to a suite of existing programmes such as:
- WorkWell (up to 8/16-weeks)
- Employment Advisor Talking Therapies
- IPS Primary Care (IPS PC) West London Works (Shaw Trust)
