Please see the below summary of WESTMINSTER specialist advice services and support-
 
1.Westminster Citizens Advice Bureau usually run drop-in Advice Plus services across Westminster at Beethoven Centre (Mondays), Church Street Library (Wednesdays) and Churchill Gardens (Thursdays)- (walk-in appointments on hold right now because of COVID)
 
2.They run a Universal Credit Project, which provides help with applications and appeals.
 
3. They have pro-bono solicitors who provide specialist advice on relationships & family, immigration and housing.
 
4. They partner up with Age UK and Asylum Aid (Consonants) who offer advice for over 50 and often have translators available.
 
5. They are currently offering support via telephone (0808 278 7834) and online (https://www.westminstercab.org.uk/advice/online-enquiry/). Once a referral is made, an advisor will make contact with the resident.
 
6. Westminster COVID Hardship Fund- WCC have partnered with Westminster CAB to provide support to those families who are going through hardship because of COVID. Support is provided in the form of 4-weeks of free food vouchers, and amount varies between £349 to £947, depending on the family size.

If you know of any families in Westminster who are facing financial hardship, please e-mail hardshipfund@westminstercab.org.uk . A referral will then be made to the Local Support Payment Team, who will administer and triage the application for eligibility before granting the vouchers.
 
7. Cardinal Hume Centre also offer specialist benefits advice. Interpreters usually available on-site.
